Accountability

Target Professionals endeavors to give due respect for the privacy of our candidates and clients in all aspects of our business operations. We have a commitment to protect your information when providing recruitment services. As such, we collect, use and disclose information only in accordance with this Confidentiality Policy.

Information Collected

Job seekers and clients using Target Professionals’ services are asked to provide certain pieces of personal or corporate information in order for us to provide you with the best possible service.

Candidates will be asked to provide your contact details, resume and a description of the type of work you are looking for and where, and your file may include the following:

• Our interview notes
• Educational records
• Reference letters
• Information obtained through reference and background checks

Clients will be asked to provide contact details, job description, compensation package details, preferred candidate personality profile, company forward looking information and your file may include the following:

• Corporate DBRS Rating
• Corporate Profile
• Public Business Report
• Company News Releases
• Logged recruitment activity notes

We use your information to:

• Understand the qualifications, needs, and preferences of both candidates and clients
• Find the best match of candidates’ skills and career goals for the clients’ existing and future development needs
• Assess and develop our business and operations to better service job seekers and clients

Target Professionals never collects more personal or corporate information than is needed to fulfill these purposes.

Disclosure

Your corporate or personal information is never traded, sold, or leased by us to any external companies. Your information is only disclosed for Target Professionals’ legitimate business purposes or as required to meet legal and regulatory requirements, for example to comply with a court order.

Consent

Having read this policy and providing us with your information, we imply your consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal or corporate information as specified herein.

Wherever possible and when necessary, we obtain your expressed consent for particular uses and disclosures. For example, we obtain your expressed written consent before releasing your information to a third party who provides background checks on potential employees.

We imply your consent if we feel we are using your information for purposes that are obvious to you. For example, when a client provides a job description, we will assume authority to provide this information to selected candidates.

Retention of Personal and Corporate Information

We retain your information as long as you are using our recruitment services, or longer if required by law. Corporate information is maintained indefinitely. Candidates’ information is retained for a maximum of two years. Should we feel that for whatever reason we are unable to assist an applicant in their search for employment, the personal information is immediately destroyed.

Accuracy

Target Professionals strives to maintain accurate records of your information. To achieve this, we need your help. In this ongoing effort, we ask you to provide us with your most up-to-date information. Write to us and let us know of any information you have given us in the past that is incomplete, inaccurate, or no longer relevant. We shall then make the appropriate modifications.

Information Access

You may at any time make a written request for access to your information. The information will be released within 30 days of receipt of the request. Should Target Professionals not be able to comply with the request for a justifiable reason, that reason will be given to the requestor.
